Established in 2007, Smile are a leading and growing service provider in South Gloucestershire and, working closely with South Gloucestershire Council, deliver high quality support services to a large number adults with a wide variety of special needs such as Downs Syndrome, Autism, Learning Difficulties etc.
Smile Is an award winning company operating a team of over 50 trained support workers who work as a lone worker on a 1:1 basis with our clients but are supported by an office-based team as well as regular supervision in the field. Our services are focused on supporting our Service Users to carry out daily tasks/skills and emotional support in a person centred way. We do not currently offer personal care services (see the ‘Services’ page for more details)
We have regular vacancies for individuals who have a desire and commitment to work as a support professional with vulnerable adults with learning difficulties who are striving to live independently in the community. Work would include a variety of shifts throughout the weekdays, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts.
Previous experience is not necessary but an understanding of the level of service required is important - all applicants will be DBS(replaced the CRB) checked and once the interview process has been successful, given a full training induction followed by an ongoing program of training. Care Certificate training is given to all new staff.

Successful applicants will:

Work varied hours during week-day and weekends within South Gloucestershire (weekend and bank holiday enhancements)
Have Access to, or own their own car
High Standard of training provided, Care certificate training and regular staff supervisions

Salary: £12.05 to £12.35 per hour depending on Qualifications, and completion of probation period, £93.78 Per Sleep-in (10pm-7am) and 40p Per Travel Mile
Saturday additional rate: £0.75 per hour
Sunday/Bank Holiday Additional rate: £2.00 per hour
Closing Date: Ongoing
Location: South Gloucestershire
Work available would include a variety of shifts throughout the weekdays, weekends and evening shift work, evening shifts in general finish by 9:30pm. No Personal Care.

Saturday additional rate: £0.75 per hour
Sunday/Bank Holiday Additional rate: £2.00 per hour

Location: South Gloucestershire
Our award-winning team is looking for a motivated individual to join our Team. The position includes office-based roles and responsibilities as well as out-off-office roles monitoring staff and service users. You will be required to be On Call this is rotated amongst the management team on a six-weekly Rota.
The successful applicant will have a level 2 or 3 in Health and social care and have good IT skills using MS word and MS excel, along with a working knowledge of policy and procedures relating to the social care industry.
You will be a good communicator and have the ability and skills to engage effectively and build professional relationships with social workers, services users, and their families, including support staff at all levels.
You will have a flexible approach to your work and be available to attend scheduled Management and Staff Meetings, reporting directly to Management.
